Mermaid under the sea next phase
As I have mentioned before Sumi Earth Art is a process I developed. Shown above this post is a photograph of the next step in this piece. Adding shells, sea glass and bark; which look like they are floating nowhere, but will become life on the ocean floor. The next stage is the painting. I use Sumi- e watercolor technique. I have been studying this technique through a book titled "Japanese Ink Painting" the art of Sumi-e by Naomi Okamoto. Through her study I am learning this art form and combining it with my own.
I am also proud to announce the grand opening of my shop at Three Sister's Marketplace. My shop can be found under mixed media at http://www.ThreeSistersMarketplace.com The name of my shop is Sumi Earth Art.
