New Mermaid under the sea in progress
Sumi Earth Art is sharing a work in progress. I am in the process of creating a "Mermaid under the sea", using mussel shell pieces for the scales of her figure and seaweed for hair, so far complementing the mermaid is a seaweed wide mouthed serpent complete with barnacles, and gracing the ocean floor are red seaweeds and a tan seaweed to date. I wish to include my followers in the process I created. Comments and questions are welcome. Please follow me on face book and my tweets on twitter. I am very excited about producing this series of fine craft. Although I did not submit a piece for the spring show at the Plymouth Center for the Arts, there is a student and teacher show plus an early spring show opening tomorrow March 2nd. Opening reception from 6:30pm -8:00pm. Stop by to see creativity in its youth plus our members and Russell Gallery artists show.
